Great Meadow Launch SiteGreat Meadow is a world class steeplechase course operated under the stewardship of the Meadow Outdoors Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of open space for community use. Great Meadow is the home of the Virginia Gold Cup, one of the premier steeplechase events in the United States. It is also the home flying field of the Northern Virginia Association of Rocketry (NOVAAR). Great Meadow has hosted numerous NAR competitions, and the Team America Rocketry Challenge finals, the world's largest rocket contest. Great Meadow was also the site of the Capitol Cup, the first US World Cup event for international spacemodeling competition. Great Meadow sits on 250 acres of Virginia Piedmont countryside, much of it mowed grass. It is an ideal location to fly rockets! Directions from Manassas
