Old Rocketeer Reunion

  • Who: The reunion is open to everyone. Attendees with NAR numbers under 50000 will receive a special rocker patch to add to the NARAM-50 patch.
  • When: Saturday, July 26, 2008
  • Where: Aurora Flight Sciences, Manassas, VA
  • Why: To celebrate the NAR's 50th Anniversary
  • Registration is required. This is a catered event, and your $30 registration fee covers the cost of staff and heavy hors d'oeuvres.

Welcome to the Old Rocketeer Reunion (ORR)! Even though the ORR is being held in conjunction with NARAM-50, you do not have to be coming to NARAM to attend this event! You don't even need to be an Old Rocketeer, as the event is open to everyone.

Good News!
Bill Stine and Barbara Stine will be attending the Old Rocketeer Reunion!

If you plan on attending NARAM-50 AND the ORR, please make your reservation at the Four Points by Sheraton meet hotel. If you plan on just coming to the ORR, please select one of the alternate hotels for ORR attendees and sport flyers.

We would like your help in contacting as many current and former NAR members as possible. We have created a list of member names and NAR numbers that are below 50000. If you are in contact with anyone on the list, please let them know about the reunion and ask them to contact Jennifer Ash-Poole. That list only includes current NAR members, however, so if you know someone who isn't on the list, please let us know. We would like to have as complete a list as possible before the reunion.

If you are planning on attending the Old Rocketeer Reunion, please email us We will add that information to the website so that others can see who will be there.

If you can't attend, please look through any old photographs, kits and other memorabilia you may have and consider sending them to the reunion to be shared. Kits can be displayed at the reunion and returned to you, or donated to the annual NAR auction held at NARAM, which raises money for teacher grants to further the use of rocketry in education. Photos will be scanned and put on a CD for display, then returned, preserving those photos of the good ole days of rocketry.
