sport flying at naram-43

sport flying, or flying just for fun, is scheduled for all seven days of naram-43. we will have a separate range just for sport flights.

naturally, all flights must conform to the applicable nar safety code. see the nar safety codes at the nar web site. also, only nar and tripoli certified engines/motors/propellant actuated devices may be used on any naram range. check with these organizations for the latest certification lists.

engines with "g" impulse and higher, as well as any reloadable engine, must be flown by an adult. federal regulations prohibit the sale to, possession by, or use of reloadables or g-and higher engines by those under 18 years of age. please write us if you have any questions regarding this policy.

we have applied for an faa waiver of parts 101.23(b) and 101.23(c), which, when granted, will permit flights of high-impulse models up to 8000 feet agl. please see the high impulse page for more information about flying big rockets at naram-43.

there will also be unofficial "fun events" at naram-43. these wil be flown from the sport range. see the fun events page for details on these.

if your sport flying activities will include radio control, be sure to check out the radio control page, even if you're using r/c for ejection control in a non-gliding model.

plan to have fun at naram-43, and fly 'em high!
