Pages Ok Lots of Video Clips today. 45meg worth !! with a few exceptions most are under 1meg so don't go nuts just yet :-) There are 29 clips. Lunar Lander for Plastic Model conversion. Some Titan Variant. F104G very unstable but deployed before impact and survived. A very nicely done lunar module assembly that also flew well. An F-18 Hornet that flew well if a little spirally. A Delta winged plane. I want to say F106 Dagger ? which was followed by the whoop of a very relieved modeler at its successful if slight squirrelly flight. I think this is a Little Joe something. Bob Kaplow's PMC Happy meal followed by his Peanut Scale Saucer model (yes its real) can not recall what it is. Some kind of army missile too small to identify from this distance. Gorgeous flying Ariane 4 (?) that looked nice and flew great. Next was a much better flying (stable) F104 model I believe by a B divisioner. (Orange F104 in the still shots from Thursday night) Can not remember what this is called. its a 4 engine model. Areies or something like that comes to mind (short stubby white model with orange markings) This is the gorgeous and amazingly detailed F-14 Tomcat. it flew GREAT. I got a nice still shot. You can not see in the video (propped it up) but it arcs on its back rolls over 180' and then pulls up for an oh so pretty flight with perfect no damage recovery. George
Gassaway's Shuttle which he flew 4 times Sport Range High Power Model. Quest Egg Courier from sport range. Bob Kaplow's Daughter's Saturn Model. Not so great flight of the Millennium Falcon test model on 4 C6's but only 3 lit and it was BENT (should have straightened that first) and their was lots of wind. it was an "interesting" flight. Steve Lubliner flew a Boost Glider on the sport range. Thermo Roc taking off. Rob Edmonds has his own plane and that is how he got to Naram. Here he is flying over the field on his way home. A Drag race between a Cici Stage 2 and a Aztec (both 2 stages one a glider :-) Back on the contest range a very complex Saturn V PMC model. 3 stages satellite with electronics ignition of upper stage. it was NOT very stable sadly but it looks like it hung in the tower which wasted the thrust spike it really needed for stable flight. I do not think he tried again. Another Delta Jet (Still want to say F106 Dagger) which was NOT stable but was awful fun to watch. it pranged but did not look like a hard impact and was hopefully not damaged that much. Kaplow's Hindenberg :-) |
